The Media Education and Practice grouping has two main streams of research interest:

• media and communications in education, i.e. SoTL (Scholarship of Teaching and Learning) and understanding education as a form of communications technology;
• the role and practice of media and communications in broader spheres of public education/knowledge and information dissemination.
