UIDC2026: Open-source Datasets and Benchmarks
A core objective of UIDC 2026 is to establish open benchmark datasets and reproducible methodologies that support future research, education, and industry innovation. By participating, you contribute to building a shared digital foundation for analysing and improving underground infrastructure performance.
Selected teams may be invited to publish their methodologies and datasets in the TUST Special Issue on Open-source Datasets and Benchmarks for Tunnelling, subject to mutual agreement and peer-review procedures.

TUST 40 Years Anniversary Special Issue
We are delighted to invite the global tunnelling and underground space community to join us for a special anniversary celebration on 20 January 2026. This unique one-day event commemorates:
- 50th anniversary of Underground Space (1976–1985)
- 45th anniversary of Advances in Tunnelling Technology and Subsurface Use (1981–1984)
- 40th anniversary of Tunnelling and Underground Space Technology (since 1986)
An Anniversary Special Issue will be published from:
- Celebration Editorials from former and current EiCs (1-2 Pages)
- Contributions from TUST Editorial Board Members
- Contributions from others in particular ECR and PhD students (by invitation)
