The Hazelwood Health Study was about identifying potential health outcomes for people who may have been impacted by the smoke from the mine fire. These might include heart and lung disease, cancer, and mental health problems. It also looked at the effects on vulnerable groups such as infants and children, young people, and older people.
In order to address these key research questions, the following research stream areas were established, which were led by a team of expert researchers (Stream Leads) from across Australia.
Adult Survey
Cancer
Cardiovascular
Respiratory
Community Wellbeing
Older People
Psychological Impacts
The Latrobe ELF Study
Air Quality Assessment
Hazelinks
