Moodle Essentials provides a comprehensive introduction to Moodle. This module offers valuable insights into the new Moodle dashboard and Moodle unit standard template, covering the latest features and guiding you through unit setup. It covers key functionalities such as managing groups and groupings, designing assessments, incorporating activities and resources, and navigating the grading system in Moodle.
Whether you're a novice or an experienced user, Moodle Essentials ensures you're ready to create engaging Moodle units tailored to your needs.
Learning outcomes
Upon successful completion of this module, you will be able to:
- identify the key components and capabilities of Moodle;
- explore additional functionality of Moodle and apply your skill development to your teaching;
- create a class assignment in Moodle for individual students and/or student groups;
- apply appropriate settings relating to submission dates/process, feedback and grades; and
- create and use a marking workflow for multiple assessors.
Assessment
The assessment for this module focuses on the practicalities of setting up and manage a Monash University Moodle unit.
- Assessment Task: Complete the quiz at the end of each topic and score at least 80% on each quiz
