Participants who complete the NHET-Sim e-learning modules and face-to-face workshops are required to provide their Certificate of Completion to each of the aforementioned colleges in order to receive their Continuous Professional Development (CPD) points. The Certificate of Completion will be downloadable upon the completion of each module online.
The Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (ANZCA)
The Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (ANZCA) have a range of educational activities that Fellows are able to claim credits for in relation to Continuing Professional Development.
In line with those activities, participants who have completed the NHET-Sim Programme will be able to claim credits for the following:
1. Completion of an online learning module organised / provided by an educational body – one credit per hour.
2. Workshops – small group learning with an interactive and / or hands on component – 2 credits per hour.

The Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
“Under the National Law, which governs the operations of the National Boards and the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), all registered health practitioners must undertake continuing professional development (CPD).” Completion of the NHET-Sim programme is an ideal opportunity to work toward your annual CPD points if you are a health practitioner. The NHET-Sim programme takes approximately 24 hours to complete and may count toward your annual self-directed CPD program for your health profession.

The College of Intensive Care Medicine of Australia and New Zealand (CICM)
The College of Intensive Care Medicine of Australia and New Zealand (CICM) has assessed the NHET-Sim Programme and we are pleased to advise the following:
This activity has CICM CPD Accreditation for Categories 1A Passive Group Learning, 2A Passive Group Learning, 2B: Active of Interactive Small Group Learning and 3B: Quality Assurance and Patient Safety Activities.
1A Passive Self Learning (1 point per hour)
2A Passive Group Learning (1 point per hour)
2B Active of Interactive Small Group Learning (2 points per hour)
3B Quality Assurance and Patient Safety Activities (3 points per hour)
Note those modules that contain simulations would be classified as 3B. However it is up to the Fellow to determine the hours they have spent on each type of activity and then enter them accordingly into their CPD diary (as they may only participate in the discussion following a simulation rather than participating in the actual simulation activity).

The Australasian College for Emergency Medicine (ACEM)
The National Health Education and Training in Simulation (NHET-Sim) Programme - Workshops is approved for up to 6 ACEM CPD hours (for full day, 3 ACEM CPD hours for half-day) by Australasian College for Emergency Medicine (ACEM). If necessary, participants can and should update the stated number of hours to reflect their individual activity.
Australian College of Midwives (ACM)
The National Health Education and Training in Simulation (NHET-Sim) course is an Australian College of Midwives (ACM) CPD Recognised Activity. The entire NHET-Sim Programme is accredited with ACM for a total of 72 CPD hours (if you complete all the modules and workshops). For a full breakdown, please see below:

Australian College of Rural & Remote Medicine (ACRRM)
The National Health Education and Training in Simulation (NHET-Sim) Programme is an Australian College of Rural & Remote Medicine (ACRRM) CPD Recognised Activity with the following CPD points allocated:
E-learning: Up to 30 PDP points for Performance Review, Up to 36 PDP points for Educational Activity
Upon completion of the e-learning, ACRRM members need to report to ACRRM directly to obtain their PDP points. Certificates of completion of the modules need to be submitted as evidence to ACRRM to ensure the correct PDP hours are received.
Module C2 - Being a simulation educator (full-day): 2 PDP points for Performance Review, 7 PDP points for Educational Activity, 2 MOPS points.
Module C2 - Being a simulation educator (virtual version - via Zoom): 2 PDP points for Performance Review, 5 PDP points for Educational Activity, 6 MOPS points.

Australian College of Nursing (ACN)
This program is endorsed by ACN according to our Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Endorsed Course Standards. It has been allocated 66 CPD hours according to the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia – Continuing Professional Development Standard.
Australian Primary Health Care Nurses Association (APNA)
This activity has been endorsed by APNA according to approved quality standards criteria. It has been allocated 6 CPD hours for full day workshop, 3 CPD hours for half-day workshop and 3 CPD hours for e-learning modules.
