Classroom resources and professional learning for schools

Teachers, wellbeing teams, and allied health professionals in schools play a crucial role in helping children regulate their emotions through movement breaks. Discover more about improving emotion regulation through movement, and access resources to bring a positive change to your classroom!

Explore our series of nine storybooks to help children learn about their emotions and understand that movement can be used as a strategy to regulate their emotions. Each book has a corresponding version, which allows readers to ‘add their own images’ to create a personalised version of the story. Check them out below!

Watch our collection of nine brief animation videos that build from the storybook series to introduce children to more scientific content about movement and its role in regulating emotions. Check them out below!

We provide flexibility in the types of movement activities that you use. To get you started, we have created movement activity cards that can be implemented as group activities with your whole class, as well as individual movement activity cards that children can do independently. You might like to use the individual movement activity ideas with your whole class. Or, you might already have movement activities that your class loves to do! The choice is yours, but we recommend activities that are non-competitive and can include everyone. Download and have fun with our activity cards below!
