About us
The Monash Research Office works in partnership with university staff and researchers to support the development of coherent, compelling and highly competitive proposals, ensuring their compliance with funding body requirements. We act as the key liaison point between Monash University and funding bodies such as the ARC, NHMRC and many others, ensuring a smooth and timely flow of information. We have and in-depth knowledge of funding rules, guidance documents, instructions to applicants, funding agreements, reporting and variation procedures and are a veritable source of advice. We work closely with other university support areas to ensure our researchers receive outstanding support and reliable advice.

Funding Support
Acting as the principal point of contact between grant applicants, grantees and funding agencies, we provide guidance on writing and submitting grant applications. We also identify and pursue funding opportunities both nationally and internationally.

Grant & Contract Management
Providing a comprehensive approach to research management, we provide an end-to-end service for pre and post award grant administration, and contract management, from a project's inception to close-out and reporting.

Ethics and Compliance
We ensure that Monash University research meets all ethical standards, and that the process to reach these standards runs efficiently and effectively. The unit provides information, advice and training to support researchers who apply for human ethics and biosafety clearance.
