About us
The Monash Research Office acts as the key liaison point between Monash University and funding bodies such as the ARC, NHMRC and many others. We have and in-depth knowledge of funding rules, guidance documents, instructions to applicants, funding agreements, reporting and variation procedures and are a veritable source of advice. We work closely with other university support areas, university staff and researchers to support the development of coherent, compelling and highly competitive proposals, ensuring their compliance with funding body requirements.
Pre-Award
MRO is a contact between grant applicants, grantees and funding agencies, we provide guidance on writing and submitting grant applications. We also identify and pursue funding opportunities both nationally and internationally.

Ethics and Compliance
We ensure that Monash University research meets all ethical standards, and that the process to reach these standards runs efficiently and effectively. The unit provides information, advice and training to support researchers who apply for human ethics and biosafety clearance.
