Consumer and community involvement (CCI) isn’t just good practice - it makes for better science.

The VHI Consumer and Community Register provides a platform for researchers to engage with community members who bring voices, perspectives and lived experience to research.

How it works

  • Read the VHI Consumer Register: Guidelines for Researchers
  • Complete the Request for Engagement form
  • Your request will be reviewed by the Community Pulse Advisory Group on the next available sitting date
  • Once approved, the VHI will share your Expression of Interest with suitable consumers from the register

Meaningful community involvement starts with preparation

All researchers must complete CCI training before accessing the register. Exemptions may be granted for prior experience. See the Guidelines for Researchers for more details.

Community Pulse Advisory Group - Sitting Dates

Requests for Engagement with the VHI Consumer and Community Register will be reviewed by the Advisory Group on a periodic basis.

To be considered submit your request by close of business on the dates listed below. Reviews take place the following Wednesday, and you’ll be notified of the outcome on Friday.
