A focus on embedding research and teaching
Education and training will be essential VHI activities, to train the next generation of cardiovascular health care professionals as highly skilled, future focused and solution seeking. The VHI will be a hub for the training and development of an interdisciplinary cardiac workforce.
Our efforts will build workforce capacity in preparation for the opening of the highly specialised Victorian Heart Hospital and to share our knowledge and experience globally.
In addition to educating and training the health care professionals of the future, we are committed to research training. The VHI provides a unique clinical research environment to train the future research leaders of our field, through world-class higher research education.
What education looks like to us:
- Designing, creating and delivering our own bespoke education offerings to be delivered through Monash University
- Connecting with industry to deliver collaborative education programs in partnership
- Supporting industry partners to deliver and/or accredited their existing or new education programs
Our capabilities:
- A wide range of cardiovascular content experts
- Expertise in online, mixed mode and in person education programs from course creation and development through to delivery, assessment and accreditation
- A range of state-of-the-art teaching spaces inside the new hospital, including low and high-tech simulation suites
