Social engagement and activities

One of the best aspects of living on-campus is the social engagement, residential activities and events.

Orientation and transition

Orientation is a very important time when new residents have the opportunity to build friendships and integrate with their residential community through a range of events and programs organised by the Residential Life Team (which includes your Resident Advisors and Res Life Coordinators).

Our Orientation Program is packed with loads of fun activities to help you settle into your new community and make new friends!

The Residential Orientation Program allows you to:

  • Make new friends
  • Meet the Residential Life Team
  • Settle into your new home
  • Engage with the community
  • Join in the many fun activities and events.

Get Involved with Residential Life

Each hall offers its own exciting lineup of events and activities—no two programs are exactly alike! While every hall has its own unique flavour, you’ll also find shared experiences and Monash University Accommodation-wide events designed to bring residents from all halls together.

These programs are a fantastic way to meet new people, build lasting friendships, and feel at home. We encourage you to dive in and make the most of every opportunity to connect with your community.

Many events are centred around sharing meals and enjoying time together. Here’s just a taste of what you might experience through our residential programs:
