APPLY

Applications for on-campus accommodation are assessed based on the date and time they are submitted. We recommend applying as soon as applications open, even if you have not yet received a course offer from Monash University.

  • Mid October
  • Then issued weekly until all rooms are filled
  • Mid May
  • Then issued weekly until all rooms are filled

ACCEPT AN OFFER

To accept an offer of accommodation you must complete the following by the deadline highlighted in the Offer email:

  • Sign the Residency Agreement
  • Pay a rental deposit - The rental deposit is non-refundable 
  • Complete Mandatory Residential Induction Training
  • Any other items as outlined in the Offer email

AFTER YOU ACCEPT AN OFFER

Room selection:

Room selection is available only for eligible residents with contracts commencing in December, January or February. Due to limited availability, room selection is not offered for contracts commencing at other times of the year.

Eligible residents will be invited to select their preferred room between mid November and mid December.

Some residents will be allocated a room rather than participating in room selection. This includes:

  • students who accept their accommodation offer after mid December
  • Monash Abroad students
  • under 18 students
  • students requiring accessible accommodation.
  • Students whose contracts do not start in December 2026, January or February 2027.

Accommodation confirmation and arrival information:

Approximately two weeks before your contract start date, you'll receive an email containing:

  • confirmation of your residence allocation
  • an arrival appointment form, where you'll nominate your expected arrival date and time so we can prepare for your check-in. Please note that rental charges apply from the start date of your Residency Agreement, regardless of your actual arrival date.
  • information about your Residential Life team, your residence handbook, orientation activities, events and opportunities to connect with your new residential community.
