Who to contact?

Monash Education has two teams dedicated to professional experience – which one should you contact?

The Professional Experience Office (PEO)

The Professional Experience Office (PEO) are the team who secure placements for our Pre-Service Teachers. They manage the logistics of placements such as location, timing and payment.

Why might I contact the PEO?

  • My organisation needs to change placement dates.
  • My organisation would like more Pre-Service Teachers.
  • I need help completing paperwork to be paid for having a Pre-Service Teacher.
  • I’m unsure of which PST to expect and when.

Professional Practice Consultants (PPCs)

The Professional Practice Consultants (PPCs) are a team of experienced teachers whose role it is to support you and your Pre-Service Teacher before, during and after placement. They are all experienced leaders in schools/centres and can support your mentoring of pre-service teachers.

Why might I contact a PPC?

  • I have concerns about my PST.
  • I want to chat about the requirements of the placement.
  • I want advice on what teaching opportunities to provide the PST.
  • I’d like to run an orientation session for the PST(s).
  • I’m unsure if my PST is at the required level.
