Andrew Campbell

Andrew Campbell is a former senior public servant with more than 25 years’ experience at the highest levels of Government and is the ETLab's Adjunct Professor (Practice).
He was most recently, Deputy Secretary, Corporate Governance and Support at the Department of Justice and Community Safety in Victoria (2021-2022). Prior to this, he was the Acting Deputy Secretary Governance Policy and Coordination (2020-2021) at the Department of Premier and Cabinet Victoria (DPC) where he chaired the Public Sector Administration Committee during the peak of the COVID-19 response in 2020.
Andrew’s deep Government experience saw him manage a diverse range of portfolios at DPC from strategy and innovation, security and emergency management, corporate services, public sector governance and digital transformation. His governance and decision-making expertise was honed as the Executive Director of the Victorian Cabinet Office and Director of the State Crisis Centre.
Andrew is currently the Principal and Founder of Andrew Campbell Advisory Group which specialises in leadership and high stakes decision making and supporting organisations and individuals with complex issues of governance, risk and ethics. Andrew has a particular interest and focus on how trust will underpin digital futures and technology.
Andrew holds a Master of International Business from the University of Melbourne, Bachelor of Arts from RMIT University and is a Graduate of the Australian New Zealand School of Government (Executive Fellows) and Australian Institute of Company Directors.
