AMOS (Australian Meteorological and Oceanographic Society) and the Monash Energy institute are hosting an Energy and Climate Forum: Global perspectives, a national priority on June 25 at 7pm.
Australia has much to gain from continued engagement with the rest of the world as we power through our own energy transition. The global energy sector and climate system are closely interlinked with the energy sector producing the majority of the world’s greenhouse gas emissions. Meanwhile, electricity infrastructure and energy security are linked through variability in the weather, and are vulnerable to extreme weather driven by climate change. Australia’s prosperity this century depends on how the country manages its weather and energy interactions.
AMOS is pleased to invite you to participate in this important discussion, on weather and energy in Australia and across the globe, with our experienced and insightful panel.
