Monash Energy Club Webinar | Growing from CO2, A Biological Pathway to CO2 Use

04/7/2021 09:15 am // Australia/Melbourne Monash Energy Club Webinar | Growing from CO2, A Biological Pathway to CO2 Use

Without CO2, we could not survive on this planet. Nature has found a way to effortlessly create life sustaining materials from the CO2 that we release. Despite our efforts, we have yet to be able to develop something similar ourselves. So what lessons can we learn? To address our current problems associated with CO2, and produce an effective solution to use the waste product, we should take inspiration from nature and life. Looking at the pathways and mechanisms available in nature, we can work to mimic it in a way that will also allow us to “effortlessly” produce some valuable products from CO2.

Tune into this webinar to find out more about how research is learning from nature and developing solutions to address CO2. As an emerging field, we may very well find the effective solution that we need, from our study of life. We welcome our panel of speakers: Dr. Jitendra Joshi, Garv Bhardwaj and Rosalie Fang, to speak more about this exciting area and the opportunities available.
