Specialisation overview

Quantum technology is moving out of the lab and into the real world. You'll learn from Monash's engineering expert academics, apply what you learn in hands-on labs, and build real devices.

You will study new quantum materials and learn how they behave at the smallest scale. You'll explore hardware for quantum computers, using photonic or superconducting materials. Design sensors used in medical scans, and help make communication networks more robust.

Learn about quantum materials and the tools used to study them, covering electronic and photonic materials, plus magnetic and spintronic materials. You'll learn nanofabrication: how to build tiny devices. And study the theory that links classical physics to quantum physics.
