Updating your staff details

Many of our systems rely on accurate personnel information in your HR record. Depending on which staff details you’d like to update, you may need to contact Access HR, submit an online request to the Service Desk or change your details in ESS.

Access HR

Phone Access HR on +61 3 9902 0400, email pay-admin@monash.edu, or complete this form to update your:

  • Monash email address
  • personal title
  • first name and/or family name/s
    (for legal name changes, you must provide a certified copy of the relevant legal document/s)
  • name in use (preferred name)
  • gender
  • date of birth
  • nationality
  • country of birth
  • home address
  • contact phone number/s
  • education qualification details
  • emergency contact's name, relationship to you, and contact information.

Service Desk

Submit a request to the Service Desk to update your:

  • job title
  • phone extension number
  • campus, building and room number
  • email address.

Employee Self Service (ESS)

Go to the Staff Portal, where you’ll find the link to ESS in All links > HR & finance to update your:

  • home address
  • mailing address
  • private phone number
  • private email address
  • mobile number
  • education record
  • emergency contact's name, relationship to you, and contact information
  • indigenous status
  • country of birth
  • language spoken at home
  • bank details.
