Connect to Monash guest wi-fi
The Monash guest wi-fi network is available at all our Australian campuses for guests of the University.
The guest wi-fi network is also available at the Monash Medical Centre (MMCC-MHRP) in Clayton, Clayton Omnico building and Monash Rural Health Centres (Bendigo).
Monash staff and students should use eduroam.
- In your wi-fi settings, select the Monash Guest Wi-Fi network.
- If you’re connecting to the network for the first time, click Don’t have an account? at the bottom of the page.
- Complete the registration by entering your:
- username
- first name
- family name
- email address
- mobile number.
- Read and accept our Acceptable Use Procedure. You’ll then be connected to the guest wi-fi.
Your guest w-fi account is valid for seven days from registration, and your session will be active for 24 hours. After that, you’ll need to log in to reconnect. The account can be used across a maximum of three devices (no more than two devices can be connected at the same time).
- In your wi-fi settings, select Monash Guest Wi-Fi.
- If you’re reconnecting within 24 hours of registering, you can reconnect without logging in.
Once you’ve done this, you’ll have access to the network. - If you reconnect after 24 hours of registering, you’ll need to log in with your username and password.
- If you reconnect after seven days of registering, follow the steps under How to connect (your account expires after seven days).
Change or reset your password
If you’ve forgotten your password and need to reconnect to Monash guest wi-fi within seven days of registering, click Reset Password on the login screen and enter your email address. We’ll email you with a new system-generated password.
You can change your password at any time. Just log in with your username and password, click Change Password and follow the prompts.
If you’re using the same device you registered with, you can reset or change your password once the session has expired (after 24 hours). You can also reset or change your password at any time using a different device.
How is my data used?
Monash University values the privacy of every individual’s personal information and is committed to the protection of that information from unauthorised use and disclosure except where permitted by law.
