Zoom Phone (staff)
With Zoom Phone, you can use your computer or mobile device to make and receive phone calls from your existing Monash extension. This is all done from the Zoom app you’re already familiar with.
The advantages of Zoom Phone include:
- the ability to seamlessly make and receive phone calls, share content and participate in video meetings
- self-service functionality (configure business hours, delegation, and the custom block list)
- voicemail recordings with transcription
- being able to easily move phone calls to Zoom meetings without requiring participants to hang up and dial into a separate meeting
- support for Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android devices.
Before you get Zoom Phone
There are a few things you should know before you get Zoom Phone:
- You’ll no longer have access to a desk phone and/or Cisco IP Communicator.
- Your desk phone will be removed from your desk.
- Any existing saved voicemail recordings will be deleted.
- Hunt Groups and Pick-up Groups can’t span between Cisco phones and Zoom Phone. If you use these features, all members of the group must migrate, or you won’t be able to use these features.
- Zoom must be installed on at least one device and signed in with Monash SSO.
