Immigration / right to work in Australia
Offers of employment to international applicants are subject to the Department of Immigration and Border Protection (DIBP) granting approval for permanent residency or an appropriate temporary work visa to cover the period of employment. If you are an international applicant you must notify the University of any Immigration Restriction that may preclude you from fulfilling the terms of any contract of employment offered by the University.

Education and Child Care | Victoria has a strong and vibrant school system based on quality teaching as well as resources and programs that focus on student learning health and wellbeing at primary and secondary school. Monash Childcare centres have limited places available at Clayton, Caulfield and Peninsula campuses. |
Superannuation | Superannuation ("super") is Australia’s retirement savings system. As an employer Monash University will make super contributions for you to a superannuation fund. For staff at Monash it is paid to UniSuper which is the fund nominated in the Monash Enterprise Employment Agreement. Full details regarding superannuation can be found at UniSuper. Salary Packaging | Salary packaging (also referred to as salary sacrificing) offers the option of flexible remuneration planning. This provides Monash staff with the flexibility to request a combination of cash salary and benefits to suit individual and personal needs, and to increase disposable income. |
Australian Taxation | The Australian Tax Office (ATO) provides advice on the Australian taxation system and has information on International tax for individuals You should apply for a Tax File Number (TFN) as soon as you arrive in Australia. |
