Benefits
More than just work
A range of on-site services are available at our campuses. Depending on your work location, this may include on-site gym, pool, bookshop, childcare, health service, food outlets, bank, post office, Oxfam etc.
Staff can participate in cycling, yoga, pilates, aerobics and other classes before work, during lunchtime and after work at our Clayton, Caulfield and Peninsula campuses.
Supporting parents at work
We are committed to supporting staff with caring responsibilities. We provide generous parental leave options and have a range of policies to promote workplace flexibility. We have on campus childcare centres as well as parenting facilities. Parents and carers can further benefit from attending workshops on managing transition to and from parental leave, including sessions for partners, irrespective of their gender.
Supporting LGBTIQA+ Staff
We recognise and celebrate the rich diversity of our community at Monash, including our lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and gender diverse, queer and questioning (LGBTIQA+) staff. To cultivate an inclusive culture, Monash operates the Ally Network and have over 200 Allies among our staff, including HR staff. Resources surrounding LGBTIQA+ Staff Inclusion can be accessed via Staff Diversity and Inclusion unit. Our partner organisations understand the importance we place on inclusive practice - their services and products are inclusive of LGBTIQ staff, their partners and families (e.g Bupa, Medibank Private, UniSuper).
Recognition of Prior Service
Your prior service at other Australian Universities or the public service, CSIRO and other institutions may be recognised for long service leave and other personal leave.
