FIT1059 AI for Everyone

Knowing how to use AI well is becoming an essential skill across every industry, whatever you study. This Monash elective unit helps non-technical students apply AI in their own discipline – no coding required. It is open to all faculties and gives you practical, real-world AI skills you can take into your future career.

The Monash-built MAVERIC advanced AI supercomputer has been designed with sustainability as a top priority. Powered by 100 percent renewable energy and highly efficient cooling systems, MAVERIC enables researchers to accelerate discovery while reducing the environmental impact of high-performance computing.

While many widely used AI technologies rely on large global data infrastructure and significant computing power and universities adopt these tools to support learning, research and professional work, it is important that we remain transparent about their environmental footprint while continuing to prioritise responsible and efficient use.
