Recognise Practice Through Advance HE
The Monash Education Academy (MEA) at Monash University is accredited to offer routes to Fellowship through Advance HE. Advance HE provides global recognition of professional practice in higher education teaching and learning. Their vision is that the world class-reputation and standing of higher education is enhanced and recognised for transforming lives and enriching society.
This program provides staff with routes toward professional and international recognition of their educational work by gaining HEA Fellowship. HEA Fellowship is aligned to Monash University's Focus Education Strategy and acknowledged in the Monash Education Performance Standards.
The HEA (Higher Education Academy) Fellowship program at Monash demonstrates an institutional commitment to continue developing excellent, innovative and relevant learning and teaching. Through it, you may join 130,000 Fellows globally and become part of a movement of professionals strengthening higher educational practice and impact.

- Gain a badge of international recognition with the entitlement to use post-nominal letters (AFHEA, FHEA, SFHEA, PFHEA); and

Associate Fellow (AFHEA)
For early career staff with a limited teaching and learning portfolio.
For staff with a few years of experience and/or substantive teaching and learning responsibilities.
Senior Fellow (SFHEA)
For experienced staff with departmental and/or wider teaching and learning support advisory responsibilities, who have/can mentor new staff.
Principal Fellow (PFHEA)
For highly experienced professionals, able to provide evidence of a sustained and effective record of impact at a strategic level in teaching and learning.
** Please note that the Principal Fellowship is not available through the Monash Accredited pathway.
