Mobility and scholarshipsMonash University, through its campuses in Australia, Malaysia and South Africa, and its Centre in Prato, Italy, is well-placed to provide European and European Union (EU) Studies opportunities for its students. Mobility opportunities![]() Monash University encourages its students to broaden their experience by studying overseas and provides grants of up to $4000 to do so. For those specialising in European and EU Studies, the opportunity to study abroad is especially valuable. In addition to the Monash University Prato Centre in Italy, students may choose to study at any of the more than 40 European universities, institutes and centres with which Monash has exchange agreements. The Monash European and EU Centre promotes staff and student exchanges between Monash and selected leading European universities in the United Kingdom, Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Denmark, Finland, the Netherlands, Romania, Spain and Sweden. This includes the Institut d'Études Politiques de Paris (Sciences Po, Paris), and the Institut d'études européennes (Institute for European Studies at the Free University of Brussels, Belgium). Postgraduate fundingThe Monash European and EU Centre offers a PhD scholarship and research travel support to Masters and PhD students. The last round of scholarships applications was in 2010. Masters and doctoral students within the Centre have received travel support to undertake a range of thesis research and interviews both within Australia and in Europe.
