Amanda Purnell

Associate

Amanda is an IECL certified coach who spent 17 years in high-pressure leadership roles in the energy sector, prior to becoming a resilience coach and facilitator in 2012. She blends strong commercial acumen and proven leadership experience with an engaging approach to optimise physical, mental, emotional and spiritual wellbeing and performance. Amanda is passionate about empowering executives, senior and emerging leaders to live with personal integrity and thrive in dynamic, fast-paced environments.

Amanda has delivered more than 4,000 hours of 1:1 coaching and 6,000 hours of workshops and keynotes to cross-cultural audiences across Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, India and the Philippines.

Prior to transitioning into coaching and facilitation, Amanda’s unrelenting perfectionism and high personal standards led to periods of burnout and poor mental health. This eventually led her to leave the corporate sector and embark on a journey of personal growth and development. Amanda frequently draws on her lived experience when supporting others to shift their thinking and behaviours and develop sustainable habits.

Amanda’s clients include executives, senior and emerging leaders across professional services, legal, banking and finance, mining, energy, retail and FMCG.

Amanda has a strong sense of authenticity and personal integrity. Her style is challenging yet supportive, clear and focused, empathetic and engaging. She draws on her extensive corporate experience across strategy, operations, marketing and business development to offer insightful observations and perspectives. In coaching she uses the GROW model to ensure practical and actionable goals are created, in support of sustainable high performance.
