Our structure

The PACT centre, which is jointly based at Monash University and Fiji National University and overseen by Monash Business School, supports collaboration and provides exceptional research into climate change mitigation and adaptation.

It also provides high-quality training and capacity building for policymakers in Pacific island countries.

Our aim

Guided by principles of inclusivity, partnership and empowerment, our aim is to enable organisations in the South Pacific, big and small, public and privately owned, to thrive and prosper by responding to climate change with innovative, outcome-driven actions.

Our collaborators

We have a range of projects underway, in collaboration with agencies and governments including the Green Climate Fund, the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), the South Pacific Regional Environment Program (SPREP), the UNDP, the Melanesian University Group led by Fiji National University, and the Governments of Fiji, Samoa, Papua New Guinea, Nauru, and Australia.
