Department of Accounting
The Department of Accounting has a long tradition of conducting world-class academic research. In the ERA research rankings, the department scored the maximum of 5, placing it well above world standard.
Department of Banking and Finance
The Department of Banking and Finance produces high-quality and impactful research that has relevance to industry and influence in the academic community.

The Department of Business Law and Taxation undertakes rigorous research of international and domestic importance.
Department of Econometrics and Business Statistics
The Department of Econometrics and Business Statistics is recognised worldwide as being at the forefront of its discipline areas.
Department of Economics
Since the 1970s, the term "Monash Economics" has been widely used to describe the liveliness and rigour inherent in our activities. We have demonstrated a strong track-record of excellence over the last 40 years.
Department of Management
Research by scholars in the Department of Management is published in leading national and international journals. The department constantly reinforces the links between research, teaching and practice.
Department of Marketing
The Department of Marketing is a research-intensive department that has produced many papers in leading refereed journal. Academic staff in the department hold positions on a number of boards and have expertise in range of research methodologies and approaches.
Research centres
Monash Centre for Financial Studies
The Australian Centre for Financial Studies became part of Monash Business School in December 2015. The Centre facilitates industry-relevant, rigorous research and independent commentary. Drawing on expertise from academia, industry and government, the Centre promotes thought leadership in the financial sector.
Centre for Development Economics and Sustainability
The Centre for Development Economics and Sustainability produces high-quality research on economics and social problems in the developing world, as well as the environment and sustainability in a more general sense.
Centre for Health Economics
The Centre for Health Economics (CHE) has been at the forefront of health economics research and teaching for more than two decades. It is one of the largest concentrations of senior health economists in Australia. As such, CHE has a strong track record in health economics research, teaching and community service.
