Business Law and Taxation PhD
Why choose a PhD with the Department of Business Law and Taxation?
About this program
You will have the opportunity to work with leading business law scholars on projects that make a genuine and substantive impact on global economic, environmental, and social challenges. Our researchers solve these challenges by drawing on the perspectives and methods of other business disciplines in addition to law.
Our researchers specialise in a variety of research areas, including Asian and comparative business regulation, company law and litigation, international trade and commercial law, labour and human rights, law and environmental sustainability, law and technology, regulatory theory and practice, tax law and policy.
Your studies will include a coursework unit, Research strategies and methods in business law, which will build your skills for conducting research in business law.
If you are an Australian or New Zealand citizen, or Australian permanent resident, your tuition fees will be covered by the Australian government's Research Training Program (RTP) Fees Offset for the specified duration of your course.
Eligibility and applications
The Business Law and Taxation PhD program is highly competitive with each intake receiving more applications than there are places available. As a result, meeting our eligibility requirements alone won't guarantee you a place in the program.
