Submit a research proposal of a maximum of two pages covering your research interests and objectives, anticipated findings and contributions, and your reasons for pursuing this PhD opportunity.
You must include the following:
- What is your motivation for pursuing a PhD after gaining extensive industry experience? [100 words max]
- Please elaborate on the industry knowledge and experience you possess that can enrich your PhD journey. [150 words max]
- Please explain the relevance of your industry knowledge and experience to your research proposal. [150 words max]
- In your opinion, what are the similarities and differences between academic research and industry research? [150 words max]

Submit a research proposal of 4-6 pages (excluding references) using the template below.
- Title
- Introduction
- Include a problem statement. What is the problem/opportunity? For whom?
- Literature review
- What is known about the problem? Outstanding challenges? Possible solutions
- What is the gap in knowledge and/or practice that needs addressing?
- Research questions/hypotheses
- What are the researchable questions that, if answered, will address the gap in knowledge/practice?
- Proposed methodology
- What methods combined in what ways are necessary to generate the evidence you need to answer those questions?
- Significance of the research/contribution to knowledge
- Include impact statement (i.e. what real-world contribution will the research make, such as influencing policy, practice, public dialogue etc)
- Note what relationships and partnerships you might need to facilitate translation between research, policy and practice.
- Resources required (if relevant)
- Eg. budget, access to particular information/organisations/people, software, etc.
- Note any possible/likely contributions from existing research partners, if relevant.
- Proposed timeline/project plan
