Louise Rawlings

Louise Rawlings is Chief Economist and First Assistant Secretary of Economic Division at the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet, with over 20 years’ experience across Treasury, PM&C, Employment, Industry and Infrastructure. Career highlights include the Employment White Paper, tax reform, infrastructure and transport COVID‑19 response, and leading the Bureau of Infrastructure and Transport Research Economics. Louise studied economics and public policy at the University of Queensland, where she obtained a PhD in industrial organisation, and has published on labour and health economics including as a Visiting Research Fellow at the ANU.
