Monash Environmental Economics Workshop 2024
Now in its eighth year, this workshop will be hosted by the Department of Economics at Monash Business School, in collaboration with the Centre for Development Economics and Sustainability (CDES), the Pacific Action for Climate Transitions (PACT) research centre and MBUS Green Lab.
The Monash Environmental Economics (MEEW) workshop is a research-intensive event. Organisers of this year’s workshop are calling for papers for presentation, on the subjects of environmental and resource economics, with theoretical, experimental, and empirical papers equally valued.
In line with the workshop’s goals of building and strengthening our environmental economics community, MEEW2024 will be an in-person event.
Keynote Speaker
Professor Paul J. Ferraro
Prof Ferraro is the Bloomberg Distinguished Professor of Human Behavior and Public Policy at Johns Hopkins University. Prof Ferraro’s research focuses on building a credible evidence base about the environmental and social impacts of public and private programs.
Because these research areas are multidisciplinary and applied, he collaborates with scientists and engineers from a variety of social, natural and physical science disciplines, as well as practitioners in the field.
We are also very pleased to confirm Professor James Watson (University of Queensland) will present a plenary lecture on the challenges of recovering threatened species in Australia.

Registration for presenters are now closed but you can still register for the dinner.
