12th Financial Management Association Asia-Pacific Conference
Monash Business School is delighted to be hosting the 12th Financial Management Association (FMA) Asia-Pacific Conference, to bring together academics and practitioners with interests in financial decision-making.
This conference will provide a forum for new research to be presented, and discussion of current challenges and opportunities in financial management and related topics.
Keynote Presenter
Dr Sumit Agarwal

Dr Agarwal is Professor of Finance, Economics and Real Estate, Head of Department, Real Estate, Low Tuck Kwong Distinguished Professor, National University of Singapore. Managing Director, Sustainable and Green Finance Institute (SGFIN). Dr Agarwal was previously Professor of Finance at Georgetown University, and senior financial economist at the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago. Prior to this, he was a senior vice president and credit risk management executive in the Small Business Risk Solutions Group, Bank of America.
Dr Agarwal's research interests include issues around financial institutions, household finance, behavioural finance, real estate markets and sustainability.
Program Overview
This three-day program will open with the Doctoral Student Consortium (by application) on Sunday 11 December, followed by two days of panels, paper presentations, exhibits and tutorials.
There will be plenty of networking opportunities, with a conference dinner to be held under the iconic spire of the Victorian Arts Centre on Monday 12 December, and a farewell reception on Tuesday 13 December.
The program is under construction and will be available here later in October/early November.
