In this presentation, Associate Professor Helen Skouteris will discuss the lows and highs of pushing our evidence beyond what we know works to what we know translates and the pragmatic challenges of working with the "real world" to tackle our wicked health and social care problems. Working across the health, business and management, community services and education sectors, Helen will also discuss the importance of breaking down silos and working collectively to improve health and social care.

Speaker

Helen Skouteris is a development psychologist and the Monash Warwick Professor in Health and Social Care Improvement and Implementation Science. She is Head of the Health and Social Care Unit and co-lead of the Evidence Synthesis, Qualitative and Implementation Methods Division of the School of Public Health and Preventative Medicine, Monash University, and Director of the NHMRC Centre of Research Excellence in Health in Preconception and Pregnancy. Helen's research is focused on improving health and wellbeing across the lifespan, from preconception to late adulthood, especially for our most vulnerable Australians.
