Doireann Fitzgerald

Doireann Fitzgerald is a Senior Research Economist at the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis. Her main fields of interest include international macroeconomics and international trade. Doireann has published in leading economic journals including the American Economic Review, the Review of Economic Studies, the Journal of Monetary Economics and the Journal of International Economics. She has held appointments at University of California Santa Cruz and Stanford University, and she is an Adjunct Professor at the University of Minnesota.

Marc-Andreas Muendler

Marc-Andreas Muendler is Professor of Economics at the University of California, San Diego. He is a Research Professor at the ifo Institute, Munich, Germany, and a Research Associate at the National Bureau of Economic Research in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Marc’s fields of interest include international and development economics, entrepreneurship, and information economics. His primary research focus is on the local impacts of global markets. Marc has published in leading economic journals including the American Economic Review, the Review of Economic Studies, the Journal of Economic Theory and the Review of Economics and Statistics. He has worked as a consultant to the World Trade Organization, the World Bank and private businesses, and as a consulting researcher for the Brazilian labor ministry, the Brazilian census bureau, the German central bank and the Federal Reserve Bank of New York.
