Modern Challenges and Opportunities for the Apparel Industry

Only extended abstracts are accepted now (by 9 December 2024)

We are inviting submissions of extended abstracts or full papers (maximum 15 pages; see instructions below) for presentation on any topics related to the conference theme. Extended abstracts (word count between 800 and 1,000 words) will be reviewed by members of the organising committee. Full submitted papers will be reviewed by experienced academics and practitioners.

All submissions will be published in conference documentation with ISBNs (extended abstract and/or full papers) if desired by the author(s). Organisers are also making arrangements to publish one or two special issues of journals, and authors will be invited to submit their papers for possible journal publication.

Submission guidelines

1. Submitted papers must not have been previously presented or scheduled for presentation, published or accepted for publication.
2. Papers should be typed on standard A4 pages using 12 point Times New Roman typeface or equivalent.
3. All margins should be 2.5 cm and text should be single space with double space between paragraphs.
4. Please limit the paper to a maximum of 15 pages excluding references (using the Harvard style) and the cover page.
5. Extended abstracts and the short abstract included as part of the full paper should be structured using the following headings: Purpose, Research Design/Methodology, Findings, Relevance/Contribution, and Limitations. The main body of the paper should be structured using these same headings.
6. The cover page should include: Title of paper, Name of author(s), Employer/organisation, address), telephone and e-mail address. The title should be bold-faced and centred in upper/lower case.
7. To ensure an impartial refereeing process, there should be no author identification after the cover page, including in headers or footers. Please also ensure that any author identifying information is removed from the file properties.
8. All sections and subsections should be easily identifiable using bold-face and upper/lower case where necessary.
9. Figures and tables should be included in the text.
10. Figures and tables should be sized to scale and labelled with a caption centred under the figure or table.
