Monash University Circular Economy: 4th Forum 2025
The Monash University Circular Economy Forum cordially invites circularity or sustainability practitioners, policy-makers, regulators and innovators from all sectors to contribute to the forum as presenters.
The Forum was first launched in 2022 to foster knowledge-sharing and support those driving the shift toward circular practices and provides an opportunity to share experiences, challenges, and successes.
This successful series, showcasing circular transition initiatives and enabling action, now turns its focus to “Measuring Impact, Tracking Progress, and Scaling Solutions.”
In addition to speaker presentations, the forum will feature interactive sessions, such as panel discussion sessions and posters presenting innovative research in circular transitions to enrich participant engagement.
Combined, these elements will foster networking and deeper exploration of specific circular economy solutions, making the event valuable for both presenters and attendees.
Call for Showcases
If you have a compelling case study, practical insights, or innovative solution related to circular economy implementation or advancement, this is an excellent opportunity to showcase your organisation’s circular journey.
We want to understand how you have transformed practices, measured success, tracked progress, or scaled up circular initiatives – and to inspire peers.
We welcome proposals on topics including, but not limited to:
- Measuring circular economy change
- Recent progress in circular economy implementation, and scaling/spread across the organisation
- Design and procurement innovations that support circular business models
- Extending circular practices through supply chain partnerships - locally, nationally and globally
- Responding to and benefitting from relevant policy and regulatory guidelines
- Leadership and behavioural challenges and how these have been addressed
- Use of artificial intelligence and digital solutions in enabling and scaling circular economy practices

Facilitators
Professor Amrik Sohal, Department of Management, Monash Business School
Prof Sohal’s teaching and research covers operations/innovation/technology management, supply chain management, circular economy and sustainability, and healthcare improvement.
He holds a PhD in Operations Management from the University of Bradford Management Centre in the UK, plus a BEng (Hons) and an MBA, also from the University of Bradford.
