Monash Marketing’s 2026 Peter Chandler Oration
The annual Peter Chandler Oration honours the legacy of Emeritus Professor Peter Chandler, a visionary leader in marketing at Monash Business School.
Prof Chandler’s vision to establish marketing as a key driver of business prosperity led to the creation of one of Australia’s earliest marketing programs at Monash University.
Since the first intake in 1971, more than 22,000 students have graduated with a Monash University marketing qualification, reflecting the enduring impact of Prof Chandler’s leadership.
Keynote speaker
The 2026 Peter Chandler Oration continues this tradition of thought leadership. This year’s Oration will be delivered by Suzana Ristevski, Chief Marketing Officer, Google Australia and New Zealand.
Suzana Ristevski, Chief Marketing Officer, Google Australia and New Zealand
Ms Ristevski has extensive experience growing businesses and brands across multiple segments including financial services, telecommunications, private health insurance, and industrials.
She has held CMO roles at GE Capital, GE, and National Australia Bank, and held senior marketing roles at Optus Telecommunications, Medical Benefits Fund, and 20th Century Fox in London.
She also sits on the boards of the North Melbourne Football Club and the Advertising Association of National Advertisers (AANA).
Suzana was recently awarded a Monash University fellowship, recognizing her significant contribution to marketing in Australia.

Associate Professor Brigette McGuire, Department of Marketing

For almost two decades A/Prof McGuire has demonstrated sustained leadership and significant contribution to Monash Business School and the marketing discipline.
As a Monash Master of Marketing graduate, she served on the Monash Business School Industry Advisory Board from 2017 - 2020, and the Department of Marketing Industry Advisory Board from 2009 - 2020, serving as Chair 2014 - 2016. In this role, she championed the student mentoring program while guiding the Board to align curriculum to industry business needs.
Embodying Monash University's motto of lifelong learning, Ancora Imparo, A/Prof McGuire is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, the Cranlana Centre for Ethical Leadership and the Harvard Kennedy School at Harvard University
