Workshop on accessibility and affordability of healthcare

11/20/2023 09:00 am 11/20/2023 05:00 pm Australia/Melbourne Workshop on accessibility and affordability of healthcare

Universal coverage and equity of access to quality healthcare are core principles of Australian healthcare systems and essential for good population health.

However, considerable unmet healthcare needs exist due to issues of affordability and availability of services, with potential barriers arising at individual, provider and system levels.

In this context, this Centre for Health Economics workshop will present new research on access and use of healthcare in various settings.

Our workshop aims to share knowledge about methods used in measuring variations of access, to improve understanding of their determinants, and identify avenues for improving performance.
