Professor Keryn Chalmers

Acting Senior Deputy Dean, Faculty Operations

Prof Chalmers' discipline expertise is in accounting. She has numerous academic publications, grants, and co-authors two extensively prescribed accounting textbooks.

Internationally, Prof Chalmers has served as President of the International Association for Accounting Education and Research (IAAER).

Through her role on the International Panel of Accountancy Education, and its predecessor the International Accounting Education Standards Board (IAESB), she has contributed to the development and implementation of accounting education standards to enhance the competence of the global accountancy profession.

Prof Chalmers has served as President of the Australian Business Deans Council, Australian President of the Accounting and Finance Association of Australia, a member of the International Accounting Standards Board (IASB) Effect Analysis Consultative Group, and is a current member of the AACSB Initial Accreditation Committee for business schools.

During her academic career Prof Chalmers has undertaken a number of leadership and governance roles at University, Faculty and Department levels. Her most recent prior appointments was as Deputy Dean, Engagement at Monash Business School.
