Christopher Looi

Christopher Looi is a specialist in transformational leadership development, partnering with organisations to elevate leaders, teams and leadership culture through vertically and horizontally scaled development approaches. With more than 15 years of global experience, he designs and facilitates human‑centred leadership programs that build capability for complex, fast‑changing environments. His work is grounded in corporate experience and advanced study in Human Development and Psychology at Harvard University.

Experience

For more than a decade, Christopher has held senior faculty and regional leadership positions with the Center for Creative Leadership (CCL®). He led CCL’s APAC leadership solutions team—including solution designers, faculty, and impact and evaluation specialists—delivering customised, high‑impact leadership development experiences across the region. He also held responsibility for CCL’s flagship global programs supporting C‑suite and senior‑executive leadership pipelines, and contributed to CCL’s Global Asian Leader research.
Christopher has partnered with senior and executive leadership teams across aviation, consumer goods, conglomerates, financial services, healthcare, government, manufacturing, strategy consulting, mining, pharmaceuticals and technology. His facilitation and advisory work spans Europe, North America and Asia. Earlier in his career, he served as a management consultant with Cap Gemini Ernst & Young, led a consumer goods start‑up, and worked in wealth management and advisory with ANZ.

Education and Credentials

Christopher holds a Master’s degree in Human Development and Psychology from Harvard University, where he focused on adult development and effective leadership communication. He also holds a Master’s degree in International Business and Marketing from the University of New South Wales and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Sydney.

He is certified in a wide range of leadership and psychometric assessments, including MBTI®, Workplace Big 5™ Influence Style Indicator™, Decision Style Profile® FIRO‑B® and FIRO Business®, Conflict Dynamics Profile 360, Strength Deployment Inventory, the CCL Benchmarks® suite of assessments, Innovation Strengths Finder, Global Leadership Profile (vertical development), Vertical Mindset Indicator and Hogan Assessments. Christopher is also a CCL® Master Trainer of The Organisation Workshop and regularly facilitates simulations on leadership agility, change leadership, systems thinking, collaboration, innovation, influence and communication.

Professional Affiliations and Research

In 2011, Christopher founded two Harvard clubs dedicated to developing leadership capability across the graduate schools. In 2012, he presented his research at the Harvard Student Research Conference on the career experiences of Asian immigrants in Australian workplaces.

He continued his research with CCL through the Global Asian Leader 2.0 project, contributing to best practices for supporting global Asian leaders and breaking through the “Bamboo Ceiling”. Christopher has also lectured at Harvard on persuasion, influence, effective communication and collaboration.
