Professor Michael Ward

Head, Department of Economics

Michael Ward joined the department in 2012, following previous faculty appointments at ANU and UC Berkeley.

He holds a joint appointment with the Monash Sustainability Institute. Michael's research focuses on issues in environmental and resource economics, such as water management, pollution regulation & enforcement, land use, and biodiversity conservation.

His research interests include applied microeconomics and econometrics, especially to issues of environment, resources, and sustainability.
