- Click on the Windows Start button and select My Software.
- Select Google Drive File Stream from the list of programs and click Install. Use the Search function for quick results.
- Click Yes to accept the confirmation request.
View the installation status
- Click on the Windows Start button > and select My Software.
- Open the My Application Requests tab.

Share with the All Staff group:
- Right click the item in Google Drive that you would like to share with all staff.
- Under People type all-staff@monash.edu.
- Click Send. This means that all Monash staff will now have access to your file. Using this method will not email all Monash staff (no email notification will be sent).

- Select the Windows Start button and select My Software.
- Select Google Drive File Stream from the list of programs. Click Install.
- Click Download.
- When the download has complete, click Run.
- When the program has finished installing, select Google Drive from the Start menu.
- Click Sign in now.
- Enter your full Monash email address and Monash password to sign-in to the Google Drive sync client.
- Click Sign In.
- You will see a confirmation screen. Click Sign in again.
- You will need to authenticate to the my.monash. Enter your Monash username and password to login.
- The Getting started wizard will assist you to create your Drive folder. Click Next.
- Click advanced setup.
- Select the folder you want to sync to your PC. Click Start Sync.
- The Google Drive sync application runs in the system tray of your taskbar. You can right-click the icon to see common tasks.
- Login to your Monash Google Apps account through my.monash.
- Click the Drive link in the black bar at the top of the Google Apps window.
- Click the Download Google Drive link in the navigation pane on the left of the screen. Installing the Google Drive sync client for PC Students and non-SOE 2.
- You'll be asked to agree to the Terms of Service applying to Google Drive. Click Accept and Install to continue.
- Follow Google’s instructions for downloading the installer. These instructions will change depending on the browser you are using.
- The Google Drive installer will begin.
- Once the install is complete, enter your full Monash email address and Monash password to sign-in to the Google Drive sync client. Click Sign In.
- You'll see a confirmation screen. Click Sign in again. You do not need to re-enter your password.
- You'll need to authenticate through my.monash. Enter your Monash username and password to login.
- A Getting started wizard will assist you to create your Drive folder. Click Next.
- Click Advanced setup.
- To select where you'd like the Google Drive folder to be created on your computer, click Change. Browse to the location you want to create the Drive folder.
- Select the folders you want to sync to your computer.
- Click Start Sync. All the files (including those in your My Drive) that are marked for sync will begin downloading.
- The Google Drive sync application runs in the system tray of your taskbar. You can right-click the icon to see common tasks.
