Enable Wi-Fi Calling

Wi-Fi Calling uses data instead of using the cellular network. It’s only supported on some mobile phone and carrier combinations. Wi-Fi Calling is enabled on the Monash eduroam network and, if supported by your smartphone, you can enable it on your device.

  1. Open Settings on your device.
  2. Search for Wi-Fi Calling.
  3. Enable the feature.
  4. Settings will vary by device, and you may need to consult your carrier's support documentation for more advice. To learn more about Wi-Fi Calling, read this article from Telstra.
  1. Open Settings on your device.
  2. Select Mobile, then select Wi-Fi Calling.
  3. Enable the feature by using the toggle.
  4. To learn more go to Apple's support site.

Mobile phones provided by Monash support Wi-Fi Calling. Telstra has a list of compatible devices. To find out if your personal device supports Wi-Fi Calling, contact your mobile service provider.
