Nitro PDF Pro
Nitro Pro is a PDF editor that has very similar functionality to Adobe Acrobat Pro and is available for Windows, Mac and Linux devices.
Install Nitro Pro
To install Nitro Pro on a Monash device, follow the instructions to install Monash Managed Software.
To install Nitro Pro on a personal device:
- Log in to Nitro using your Monash account.
- From the Apps section, download the version for your device’s operating system.
Sign into Nitro Pro
To sign in:
- Go to the Nitro website and sign in using your Monash account.
- Open the Nitro application on your computer and click Log in with Nitro Account.
- Enter your Monash email address and click continue. (After the authentication, you’ll be redirected back to the application and you’ll be signed in.)
Set Nitro Pro as the default PDF application
- Select any PDF file in Finder and select File > Get Info.
- Expand the Open with section.
- Change the application to Nitro PDF Pro.
- Click the Change All... button below to make it the universal default.
- In the search bar, type default apps and press Enter.
- Scroll down the list and select Set defaults by app.
- Select Nitro Pro from the list, and click Manage.
- Click each application icon for each file type and update them to Nitro Pro.
