The Steering Committee oversees the business of the Academic Board and resolves urgent matters within its remit that cannot be accommodated by the Board's regular meeting schedule. Specifically, the Steering Committee:
We are seeking nominations for the following positions:
These positions are for a two-year term, from 15 July 2026 to 14 July 2028, and are filled on a rotating basis.
Members are expected to attend approximately eight meetings per year, either in person at the Clayton Campus or via Zoom.
Candidates must be eligible to serve as members of the Academic Board in the relevant category (appointed Head of Academic Unit or elected academic staff member) for the Academic Board Steering Committee term commencing on 15 July 2026.
This includes elected academic staff members whose Academic Board term commences on 1 July 2026.
Nominators and voters must be current members of the Academic Board (in any category) at the time of nomination and voting.
Nominations open at 10.00 am (AEST) on Monday, 8 June 2026 and close at 12.00 noon (AEST) on Thursday, 18 June 2026.
To nominate, please complete and submit the Nomination Form by the closing date.
If the number of eligible nominations exceeds the number of available positions, a ballot will be conducted via Google Form from Monday, 22 June 2026 to Monday, 29 June 2026.
