Victorian Court of Appeal held at The Monash Law Moot Court
The Platform was pleased to host an historic first ever sitting of Victoria's highest court the Court of Appeal at a university in Monash’s digital Moot Court on the 21st of October 2019. The hearing fully utilised the technology of the court including remote witness conferencing and court transcription. Judges and participating Counsel were generous enough to conduct a question and answer session with students and staff, providing a rare and memorable opportunity.
Remote conferencing and streaming technology provide the capability to include participants remotely. The central bar table is equipped with pop-up computer screens allowing participants to view and share documents and files. Multi-functional design and technology make it an ideal venue for in person and virtual conferences.
The design aesthetics of the court, also provide film and television production companies with an excellent location for projects that incorporate courtroom scenes.
