Joining the Review
The Monash University Law Review strongly encourages all current Monash law students to consider applying to join the Editorial Committee.
Benefits of joining
Involvement with the Review is highly regarded by law firms and employers and provides exclusive access to career and networking events as well as valuable practical skills in legal research, referencing and copyediting. Many leading members of the legal profession and academia are past members of the Review's Editorial Committee.
Who can apply
We are looking for highly committed students with strong time management skills, excellent attention to detail and close familiarity with the AGLC4. Applicants must have at least one full year of study remaining. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students, those with a disability and students from under-represented backgrounds are strongly encouraged to apply, including those supported by Monash under the Equity definitions.
How to apply
Committee Members are recruited on an annual basis. Applications open in late November each year.
To apply, students must submit their CV, one-page cover letter and latest unofficial academic transcript. Your cover letter should outline your reasons for applying and suitability for the role. Please also include your expected graduation date and Law-only WAM, as calculated using the Monash WAM calculator by entering in the details of all your completed Law units. Shortlisted students will be required to complete an editing exercise and may be asked to attend an interview.
