Monash Law Visitors Program

Monash Law welcomes academic visitors to the Faculty. The Monash Law Visitors’ Program hosts international and domestic scholars who seek to develop collaborative projects with researchers within the Faculty or otherwise enrich the Faculty’s research or teaching environment, provide opportunities for scholarly engagement, or build relationships with researchers and the institutions or organisations they are associated with.

Visiting scholars and other Faculty visitors contribute to the academic life of the Faculty in a variety of ways, including by

  • Developing and delivering research projects, publications and educational initiatives in collaboration with Faculty centres, research groups and its members;
  • Sharing their knowledge and expertise knowledge with the Monash Law community, by presenting seminars or guest lectures, or in informal meetings and discussions; and
  • Enhancing the international and domestic profile and engagement of the Faculty and its members.

Our visitors have diverse backgrounds and interests, and may be professionals in law or related fields, judges or academics from other universities. Monash Law involves its visitors in the intellectual life of the Faculty and endeavours to provide them with workspaces including computer and printing facilities, as well as access to library resources. Academic visitors are generally self-funded and visit Monash Law by formal invitation.
