The Mollie Holman Prize

The Mollie Holman Medal

The Mollie Holman Medal is one of Monash University’s most prestigious academic honours, awarded annually to doctoral graduates whose research represents the pinnacle of scholarly excellence. Established in 1998, the medal commemorates Emeritus Professor Mollie Holman AO who was a pioneering physiologist and passionate advocate for research and education. Their legacy continues to inspire generations of Monash scholars.

Each year, up to ten medals are awarded across the University, typically one per faculty.

Recipients are recognised for producing a thesis of exceptional merit, originality, and impact. Their work not only advances knowledge but also shapes the future of their discipline. These graduates exemplify the curiosity, rigour, and innovation that define Monash’s research community.
